Review Originally Printed in Moisst Issue One 1992/93.If you are looking for a funny book, with lots of imagination, terrific art, senseless, yet hilarious, violence, and a large green frog, then this is definitely the book for you!!!! Written and drawn by Ethan Van Sciver the book is done in full color and published by Harris Comics. Originally, however, it was published as a black and white by Hall of Heroes ( these copies are getting very hard to find ).
In the four issue series, ( already in local comic book stores ) Ethan proves himself to be a gifted story teller and a kick-ass artist. Cyberfrog has a unique "honing" power that essentially drags him to scenes of crimes in progress. So, whether he wants to be involved or not ( and I am guessing not ) he is drawn into confrontation after confrontation with the bad guys. While not reluctantly fighting crime, Cyberfrog watches far too many talk shows and turns into the ultimate couch potato.
This book has deranged villains and damsels in distress. Sick, twisted plots, and tasteless quips about society, all in all, it's very enjoyable to read! While the first mini is out in stores, the second series, Reservoir Frog, will be hitting the shelves in October. Reservoir Frog looks to be as entertaining, if not more so, than the first series. Also talk of a Cyberfrog/CreeD crossover has been buzzing about lately. (CreeD is written an drawn by Trent Kanuiga ) This would be a crossover and I hope the creators and publishers make it happen! The books are 2.95 a piece and can be found at most comic book stores!! So, drop whatever it is your doing, run out and buy Cyberfrog now!!!
